Now available: BILSTEIN B4 DampTronic OE replacement shock absorbers for the BMW X5 (G05, F15) and BMW X6 (G06, F16)
Essen/Ennepetal, 29 May 2026 – BILSTEIN is expanding its suspension range by adding B4 DampTronic OEM replacement shock absorbers for the BMW X5 (G05, F15) and the BMW X6 (G06, F16). The shock absorbers are specifically designed for vehicles with electronic damper adjustment and are available for both standard and M suspension systems. Installation of the BILSTEIN B4 DampTronic is carried out in the same way as for the OE component.
BMW X5 and X6: Premium SUVs with high standards for comfort and driving dynamics
With the X5 and X6, BMW combines a high level of driving comfort with dynamic handling. In particular, vehicles with electronic damper control are designed to cope with a variety of driving situations by adaptively adjusting the damping force.
Over time, however, the performance of the standard shock absorbers deteriorates. This is particularly true for vehicles with higher weight and variable loads. This affects ride comfort, stability and the function of the electronic control system.
BILSTEIN B4 DampTronic: Replacement shock absorbers for electronic suspension systems
With the BILSTEIN B4 DampTronic, BILSTEIN offers an OE replacement solution for vehicles with electronic damper adjustment. The shock absorbers are precisely matched to the respective control system and allow worn-out original dampers to be replaced without making any changes to the existing system.
Near-OEM tuning thanks to valve technology from OE development
By utilising valve technologies from OE development, the B4 DampTronic covers the required range of damping forces and reliably restores the original handling characteristics.
Seamless integration and full range of functions
The BILSTEIN B4 DampTronic is specifically designed for vehicles with electronic damper control. All vehicle-specific parameters, such as sensors, control systems and characteristic curves, remain fully functional. This makes the B4 DampTronic ideal for replacing worn-out original dampers without compromising on comfort, driving dynamics or the usual driving modes.
Installation as for the OE shock absorber
The BILSTEIN B4 DampTronic is installed in the same way as the standard component. Existing connections, sensors and plug-in connectors can be reused; no additional components or modifications to the system are required.
For the workshop, this means a clearly predictable replacement process without any intervention in the vehicle architecture or the electronic chassis control system.
Addition to the existing suspension range
BILSTEIN already offers a comprehensive range of suspension components for the BMW X5 and X6. These include, amongst others, B3 air springs for the rear axle and passive B4 and B6 shock absorbers for the front axle. With the B4 DampTronic, BILSTEIN is expanding this range to include a dedicated solution for vehicles with electronic damper adjustment, thereby completing the range for these model series.
