The NLS 2025 season kicks off: Numerous teams rely on BILSTEIN technology in the Green Hell
Essen, 21 March 2025 – Maximum excitement and pure adrenalin on the world's most challenging race track: the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife will once again be the setting for thrilling motorsport at the season opener of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie NLS (Nürburgring Endurance Series). From GT3 and GT4 to TCR and Cup racing cars, through to the near-series classes: When the popular NLS starts its new season on Saturday, 22 March 2025, numerous teams will once again be relying on BILSTEIN technology.
BILSTEIN x GetSpeed: Mercedes-AMG Performance with iconic livery
The GetSpeed team is entering two Mercedes-AMG GT3s in the 2025 NLS - both equipped with BILSTEIN EVO RT 5-way high-tech shock absorbers, which have been further refined for the new season and optimised on the BILSTEIN 7-Post test rig. New characteristic curves have further improved performance and minimised unwanted friction in the suspension.
The eye-catcher on the grid this season will be the GT3 with starting number #14. The AMG car not only impresses with its iconic BILSTEIN livery. NLS 1 will also feature a first-class driver line-up with Nordschleife heroes Maro Engel, Maxime Martin and Luca Stolz.
BILSTEIN Racing Team: Targeting top positions
The BILSTEIN Racing Team is entering its third season - this time with the brand new BMW M4 GT4 Evo. Just in time for the new motorsport season, the revised GT4 racing car represents the latest evolutionary stage of the successful model and comes with crucial detail improvements.
In 2025, the BILSTEIN Racing Team is once again relying on its partnership with lubricant specialist RAVENOL and tyre expert FALKEN. New on board is brake specialist ZIMMERMANN: the partnership with the brake technology professionals brings valuable expertise in the field of high-performance brakes - a decisive factor when it comes to fast lap times and maximum vehicle control.
The M4 GT4 Evo will be driven by a spectacular driver pairing: GT professional Manuel Metzger and racing drivers and content creators Jimmy Broadbent, Steve Alvarez Brown and Misha Charoudin. Together, the team aims to attack at the top in the demanding SP10 class, which is characterised by tough competition.
The highlight remains the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, where the team is aiming for class victory.
Max Kruse Racing: A highly successful partnership continues
The successful partnership with Max Kruse Racing will enter the next round in 2025: The team will continue to trust in BILSTEIN Motorsport shock absorbers and thus continue its highly successful collaboration with the shock absorber specialist.
The partnership reached a special milestone at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring 2024: the VW Golf GTI Clubsport 24h, fuelled with more eco-friendly E20 fuel containing around 20% bioethanol, set a new TCR lap record, secured pole position in the class - and crowned the weekend with a dominant class victory.
Max Kruse Racing remains a pioneer in terms of performance and sustainability in the new season. In addition to the proven VW Golf GTI TCR and Audi RS3 LMS, the team now also relies on BILSTEIN EVO R Motorsport shock absorbers in a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup. The Porsche with the starting number #644 will also run on E20 fuel and fight for top positions in the AT class for alternative fuels.
BILSTEIN: First choice for top teams
But BILSTEIN is not only represented in the top categories: Whether TCR, cup cars or production cars - ambitious teams in almost every class rely on the expertise and technology of the suspension specialist.
One of the most demanding racing series in the world
Timo Drüge, Sales Manager Motorsport at BILSTEIN, explains the importance of the Nürburgring endurance series for the shock absorber manufacturer: ‘The NLS is one of the most demanding racing series in the world - and this is exactly where you can see how good our motorsport shock absorbers really are. Together with the teams, we use the Nordschleife as the ultimate test environment to establish and finalise new technologies - such as the further developed EVO R shock absorbers from Max Kruse Racing.’
BILSTEIN has traditionally been a major player in international motorsport and has always focussed on particularly close cooperation with the teams. ‘The fact that so many teams rely on our technology is both a confirmation and a motivation for us. Our close collaboration with the racing teams and continuous development ensure that our suspension systems deliver maximum performance in every class.’
The 2025 NLS season features a total of ten races over eight event weekends. The two races of the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers in the run-up to the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring on 21 and 22 June 2025 will once again be part of the NLS.
