Invoice responses quickly improve communication and financial transparency

TIE Kinetix (Euronext: TIE), the leader in 100% supply chain digitalization, announced today that they are promoting the use of invoice responses according to the Peppol BIS Invoice Response 3.0 standard. The company’s FLOW Partner Automation platform has supported invoice responses via PEPPOL for years, but the benefits have been largely underexposed. Enhanced communication and, therefore, implementation, could ultimately encourage more organizations to join the PEPPOL network.

Invoice responses are easy to implement and provide a short time to value for organizations that aim to optimize cash flow and make procure-to-pay processes more efficient. Business-level results obtained post-implementation have been positive, and this enhances the overall value associated with joining the PEPPOL network. With invoice responses, organizations of all sizes can take control of the procure-to-pay process by sending automated invoice status updates to suppliers in real time.

“Inefficient communication is a major issue for today’s organizations, especially as trading partner networks continue to grow. Suppliers want to know when they’re getting paid, and they’re going to keep calling you until they find out,” says Jan Sundelin, CEO, TIE Kinetix. “To help our customers avoid this, we encourage them to take advantage of our PEPPOL invoice response capabilities. It’s an easy fix, and it goes a long way.”

TIE Kinetix’s invoice response feature for electronic invoicing via PEPPOL swiftly improves communication and introduces a new level of financial transparency for FLOW e-invoicing customers and their suppliers. From invoice acknowledged to invoice paid, suppliers receive automated status updates throughout the process, creating a real-time environment void of status-related inquiries. This ultimately saves time, reduces complications, and promotes a healthy cash flow.

FLOW is continuously optimized to better serve TIE Kinetix customers and solve today’s business challenges. Only a select few certified PEPPOL Access Points are able to support the PEPPOL BIS Invoice Response 3.0 standard, and TIE Kinetix is one of them. This uniquely positions TIE Kinetix as a top service provider for organizations that are required to send e-invoices via PEPPOL or wish to join the network on their own accord. The invoice response feature is immediately available for all FLOW e-invoicing customers.

Quick facts

The U.S. is working to implement a common framework for e-invoicing in the private sector, and the international PEPPOL network has had a large influence on the current direction. As the market continues to mature in the U.S., it is becoming increasingly important to keep up with e-invoicing developments abroad.
