Göteborg Energi selected Tieto Smart Utility to support their retail and distribution business
Göteborg Energi, one of Sweden’s leading energy companies, has after a procurement process, chosen Tieto Smart Utility for its distribution and retail business. The system increases efficiency by digitalizing and automating Göteborg Energi’s core business processes such as sales, customer services, workflow and output management and billing. This will help improve the experience for Göteborg Energi’s approximately 600.000 energy retail and distribution customers.
Tieto Smart Utility supports all current and future regulatory requirements in the energy market and provides seamless transition into the coming Supplier Centric Model. It will, in combination with the new Output Management solution, give Göteborg Energi increased process automation and improved experience for its customers in all interactions as well as improving the internal efficiency, speed and competitiveness. The initial contract duration is five years, with five additional optional years.

Tieto Smart Utility is a modular software as a service (SaaS) solution designed for energy retail, distribution and multi-utility companies. The solution addresses the requirements stemming from present and forthcoming regulation of electricity markets. The scalable cloud service also meets stringent information security requirements by utilising Tieto's Nordic data centers.
