Tieto has participated in the national Changeover project supporting customer AB DNB Bankas in preparations for the Republic of Lithuania’s entrance into the Eurozone. Lithuania changed its national currency from Litas (LTL) to Euro (EUR) on January 1st 2015.

During the project, Tieto assisted AB DNB Bankas to ensure operations and cashless payments in Euro currency by, developing migration scripts, providing step by step instruction for Tieto’s Card Suite systems and supporting Bank’s testing. Tieto provided remote support during live Changeover. The project was carried out smoothly and with minimal interference with customer`s daily routines.

- Lithuania’s participation in the Economic and Monetary Union from 1 January 2015 is a historical milestone for country. Last year Tieto supported EUR changeover project in Latvia, including DNB Bank Latvia, this year we've done it in Lithuania. Thanks to great teamwork, DNB Bankas will grant nonstop support to its customers with their daily payment operations, says Maris Ozolins, Director of Cards, Tieto.

- Due to efficient and professional cooperation with Tieto as partner in preparing the bank’s card payment system, the transition process to the euro went smooth and services to our customers were provided non-stop, says Vaineta Barevičiūtė, Executive Vice President and coordinator for the transition to the euro at DNB Bankas.

DNB Bankas is a Tieto customer since 1997.
