Tieto and Kammarkollegiet sign new agreement on digitalisation services for public sector

Tieto has signed a framework agreement with Sweden’s Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency, Kammarkollegiet, to provide information management and e-Government services to the public sector. The framework agreement comprises seven different providers and has an estimated total value of about 400 million SEK per year over the next four years.

The agreement comes into force in November 2015 and is a continuation of the government’s efforts to increase the digitalisation of society. It paves the way for smoother call-offs and makes it easier for municipalities, counties and government agencies to buy services and software.

One of the main areas encompassed by the framework agreement is electronic archiving as well as case and document management, which supports employees in their daily operations and enables new services for citizens. The agreement includes cloud services, software and other solutions for the continued digitalisation of the public sector.

Tieto has collaborated with Kammarkollegiet for more than ten years, delivering services that have simplified the daily contact between the public sector and individual citizens and companies. This includes increased possibilities to monitor the processing of a case by a municipality or a government agency.

- This is a continuation of the work we have already started within the framework of our previous collaboration. We are pleased that the public sector will have the continued possibility to make simple call-offs for services and products in order to speed up their digitalisation. This provides new possibilities to provide more effective services to citizens, says Mats Brandt, Vice President, Industry Public, Tieto Sweden.

Through the acquisition of Software Innovation earlier this year, Tieto can offer an even wider portfolio of services and products for municipalities, counties and agencies, including the in-demand Public 360° - a standardised document and case management solution that is tailor made for the public sector.
