Tieto and pension insurer Elo innovating digital services to promote occupational well-being

Tieto and pension insurance company Elo have begun collaborating on the development of new digital services to support the everyday work of Elo's corporate and entrepreneur customers. The project will utilize the opportunities provided by new technologies to improve occupational well-being. The new services make extensive use of open data interfaces, visualization and gamification.

"Occupational well-being can already be monitored in several ways. We are interested in how the data collected from such monitoring can be put to use to develop services. Digital solutions enable us to make occupational well-being services available to a broader group of customers. We have identified some superb tools for our development work in Tieto's Experience Hub innovation programme," says Eija Kaipainen-Perttula, Elo's Development Director.

"Developing occupational well-being is a strategic focus area for Elo. Digital solutions enable new forms of service and service channels that we can use to provide added value to our customers," says Anu Suutela-Vuorinen, Elo's Occupational Well-being Director.

Tieto Experience Hub innovation program focuses on developing new service models and operating methods in collaboration with the customer, while taking into consideration the needs of the end customer – in this case, Elo's corporate and entrepreneur customers.

"The concept is based on various conceptual and operational models colliding with different sectors in different ways. This enables new – occasionally surprising – business models to be created. Openness and active dialogue with our customers and their customers is an essential part of the Tieto Experience Hub package. We have made good use of this in events such as hackathon," says Mikko Leinonen, Head of Tieto's Customer Experience Management start-up.
