Tieto digitalizes Region Blekinge’s document- and case management system with new cloud service
Tieto has signed an agreement to digitalize Region Blekinge’s document- and case management system via a new cloud-based service. The digitalization will result in faster, more efficient and more flexible information management and will pave the way for Region Blekinge’s integration into the Blekinge County Council in 2019.
”This solution will help us streamline our operations. The ability to quickly and easily be able to find the relevant information we need will make a huge difference for us, especially considering we have a fairly small team and our staff won’t have to waste precious time on searching for the information anymore. At the end of the day, our task- and information management will not only result in us doing our job faster and better, it will also benefit the people of Blekinge by us providing them with better services,” says Ingrid Ljungqvist, administrative director at Region Blekinge.
The new solution, Public 360°, will initially be used by Region Blekinge administrators and project managers but its use may eventually be extended to cover also decision-makers working on political issues within the organization.
The deal also includes an option to add a digital meeting functionality which will make it easier to set up and manage meetings – from creating invites to keeping, and distributing meeting records. Up until now, this has been managed manually.
”This is part of our modernization- and digitalization process and will facilitate our future integration into the county council in 2019 and which already uses Tieto’s document- and case management system,” Ingrid Ljungqvist says.
The cloud-based service builds on Tieto’s Public 360° solution – a standardized solution for document-, case- and archive management – to which some 600 Nordic public sector organizations subscribe today. Under the deal with Region Blekinge, Tieto will operate, monitor and manage the organization’s backup and ensure that the solution is always equipped with the latest updates.
“We’re very pleased and honoured that Region Blekinge has trusted us to provide them with this solution. It’s a strategically important deal because it confirms that it is not only possible for public sector organizations to store information in the cloud, but it will also make it much easier and more efficient for them to manage its information. This is the future,” says Mats Brandt, Head of Public Sector at Tieto Sweden.
