Helsingin Sanomat's mainframe operations and output printing to TietoEnator corporation and to Atkos Printmail OY

HELSINGIN SANOMAT'S MAINFRAME OPERATIONS AND OUTPUT PRINTING TO TIETOENATOR CORPORATION AND TO ATKOS PRINTMAIL OY Sanoma Corporation and TietoEnator Corporation have made a partnering contract, by which Sanoma Corporation assigns Helsingin Sanomat's unit's, called IT-solutions for marketing, mainframe operations to responsible of TietoEnator Corporation's unit called Processing & Network Support. In the same occasion there was made a separate contract between Sanoma Corporation and AtkosPrinmail Oy of output printing, which belongs to the same operations. The partnering contract develops the co-operation between Sanoma Corporation and TietoEnator Corporation by adding mainframe operation management to networked operation management. From the IT-solutions unit will 11 persons move by transfer of a business as old employees to TietoEnator Corporation. S/390- hardware will be put into the premises of TietoEnator Corporation. The transferring persons will work in Haaga office. When transferring the business there was made a contract for operation management between Sanoma Corporation and TietoEnator Corporation. The contract is valid until the end of year 2005 and after that year by year. The contract enables Sanoma Corporation to concentrate to it's core business and invest more for developing applications. The service gives to Sanoma Corporation the operation and support services effectively, economically and safely. The contract takes care of changes in demanded capacity. The development of applications and management of LANs and workstations remains in Sanoma Corporation.
