IKEA chooses project management method from TietoEnator IKEA chooses the project management method, PPS, Practical project management, from TietoEnator. The agreement means that IKEA has access to a well-tried method for the management and planning of projects in its global operations. The global agreement, which runs for two years, includes PPS company licences, training for users in different countries as well as PPS expertise. TietoEnator's business area Consulting signs the agreement with IKEA IT Center AB. "I am very pleased that we have succeeded in achieving this agreement. I see it as the beginning of a long and rewarding co-operation with IKEA", says Åke Plyhm, Deputy CEO, TietoEnator. TietoEnator's project management method, PPS, has been used for the last ten years by both large and small companies in different branches in Sweden and abroad. The method has successively been adapted and modified from the experience that has been gained. This year alone, TietoEnator trains approximately 3500 people in PPS. The method gives a structure to the work planning in projects. The human being is in focus but it is also important that a project shall achieve customer benefits and profitability.
