Lillehammer College and TietoEnator offer Norway's first college programme in payroll and personnel TietoEnator is working together with Lillehammer College to offer continuing and further education carrying credit at state college level in the form of a part-time programme in payroll and personnel work. The first group of students will start at the end of February. TietoEnator is one of Norway's market leaders in payroll systems, offering software packages including Huldt & Lillevik, the most known payroll- system in Norway. In 2000, the company's licence sales grew by more than 25%. - Every year, about 8000 people take our courses in payroll and personnel subjects, and we see that there is a pressing need for higher education. The collaboration with Lillehammer College is therefore a breakthrough for everybody who works in this field in Norway, says Børre P. Børresen, who is responsible for all course activity at TietoEnator Applications AS. The programme lasts one year and represents 10 credits - or one half-year unit - in the Norwegian state college system. It includes class meetings and extensive use of information technology. The criteria for admission are according to the general entrance requirements for higher education in Norway or the requirements for science subjects. - TietoEnator has leading-edge competence in payroll and personnel work, while we have established academic competence in personnel and economics/ administrative subjects.
