TietoEnator acquires BIOSIS TietoEnator acquires the company dataFolket 1 AB. The acquisition means that TietoEnator buys 100 % of the shares and eleven employees will be transferred to TietoEnator. DataFolket 1 AB has developed the new modules PS BIOSIS as support for health care documentation and medicinal treatment. TietoEnator's concept INFOMEDIX for health and medical care services will thereby become a complete patient-oriented IT support. The combined installation base makes TietoEnator one of the largest suppliers of IT support for health and medical care services in the Nordic countries. The agreement is a part of TietoEnator's strategy of fulfilling the health and medical care services' requirements for process-oriented IT support. TietoEnator's concept INFOMEDIX, that includes health care administration, activity register, health care planning, remittances and answers, is now expanded with modules for health care documentation and medicine administration from PS BIOSIS. INFOMEDIX is based on the fact that it is the patient who has the right to his/her health and his/her problems. This is the reason why the information follows the patient irrespective of where he/she is treated. In this way better co-operation is also achieved throughout the entire medical chain. Other advantages of the system are that it provides the prerequisites for planning, administration and follow-up of applied resources.
