TietoEnator acquires Manufacturing area systems integration business from Modultek

TietoEnator acquires Manufacturing area systems integration business from Modultek The system integration and maintenance business of Modultek Oy's Manufacturing business area will be transferred to TietoEnator on 1 October 2001. TietoEnator's Production & Logistics Business Area will take over the customer contacts and the employees, altogether 21 people, of the business in question. Modultek's services are based on the company's MST 9000 and ATON product data management (PDM) products. "By divesting its non-core system integration operations, Modultek will be able to concentrate on accelerating software sales and development. The company also wishes to safeguard the adequacy of its resources in global ATON rollout projects. Hence Modultek will continue to develop and provide the ATON-PDM product in addition to branching out into other industrial sectors alone or with its partners," stated Mr Jukka Salovaara, President and CEO of Modultek.
