TietoEnator acquires Parcomp's entire share capital from Partek

TietoEnator acquires Parcomp's entire share capital from Partek TietoEnator has acquired a hundred percent of the shares in Parcomp Oy Ab on 31 December, 2001. Parcomp is an information technology company fully owned by Partek and its turnover in 2001 was approximately EUR 8.5 million. The company supplies processing, network and support services both to Partek companies and other enterprises. The acquisition of Parcomp will strengthen TietoEnator's competence within the industrial branch. Juridically, Parcomp will remain a separate company. However, the operations will be merged into TietoEnator's units during the year 2002. In conjunction with this acquisition, 74 Parcomp employees working in Parcomp's thirteen offices will be transferred to TietoEnator as former employees. - Parcomp is an excellent company and its operations have been profitable. However, Partek has increasingly developed into an engineering company and we will continue to focus on our core business.
