TietoEnator acquires the business of Medigroup
TietoEnator acquires the business of Medigroup TietoEnator, a leading Nordic supplier of IT solutions for health care, has acquired the business operations of Medigroup Oy. The deal is part of TietoEnator's growth strategy in health care, strengthening its position as system provider for health centers and hospitals. The business operations and the 9 employees involved have been transferred to TietoEnator on 1.1.2002. Medigroup was established in 1994 and is specialised in billing systems for health care, as well for maintenance services, e.g. for the Musti hospital system and Finstar health center system. TietoEnator has approximately 30 years' experience in IT solutions for health care, and employs a total of almost 300 experts in the health care sector in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Effica, developed in Finland, is a large product family comprising services for health centers, dental care, medical laboratories and hospitals.
