TietoEnator and Nokia Networks extend their co-operation

TietoEnator and Nokia Networks extend their co-operation TietoEnator and the Broadband Systems division of Nokia Networks have signed an agreement on the maintenance and further development of the Nokia Eksos N20 product family. With the agreement, 15 employees transfer to TietoEnator. Nokia Eksos N20 is a multiservice access node for fixed networks allowing the telephone network subscribers to be connected more efficiently. According to the agreement, the maintenance, further development and testing of the Nokia Eksos N20 product family are transferred to TietoEnator's responsibility as of June I, 2002. The arrangement is subject to approval by the Finnish Competition Authority. "This is a part of the implementation of our networked product creation strategy, and a natural continuation of the co-operation Nokia Networks has with TietoEnator on the development work of mobile and fixed switching", says Pekka Viirola, Strategy and Business Development Director of Nokia Networks' broadband division.
