TietoEnator and Rational Software sign partner contract

TietoEnator and Rational Software sign partner contract TietoEnator expands its co-operation with Rational Software. The co- operation has existed for several years and will now be expanded with TietoEnator's inclusion in Rational Unified Partner Program. TietoEnator will, for example, integrate its method for planning and management of projects (PPS) with Rational Unified Process (RUP). The partner contract also includes consultant services as well as Rational's development and test tools. As previously, TietoEnator works with Rational's products. Furthermore, the two companies will support each other by contributing with leading edge competence within areas of immediate interest. - TietoEnator is a forerunner where taking in and applying new technology is concerned, says Anders Torelm, MD of Rational Software in Sweden. We look forward to working together with them to further develop and improve the customers' working methods. Rational Unified Process (RUP) will be used in projects that are conducted according to TietoEnator's PPS method. A project is at present being conducted with the aim of integrating PPS with RUP. PPS describes basic working methods and requirements for skills to be able to conduct different types of projects from start to finish. The method can be applied to everything from simpler projects to complex development projects in IT connections. PPS will then be supplemented with unique methods for each respective project area.
