Tietoenator and YIT Service to co-operate on industrial maintenance services TietoEnator and YIT Service, a company in the YIT Group, have agreed on co-operation for the supply of IT systems for industrial maintenance services. The signed agreement relates to the supply of TietoEnator's PowerMaint system to YIT Service's customers as part of plant maintenance services. The agreement further strengthens the long- standing co-operation between the two companies. PowerMaint is a maintenance and service management system developed and marketed by TietoEnator. It belongs to TietoEnator's EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) business product portfolio. The strategic target of TietoEnator's EAM business is to develop maintenance-related information technology both for providers of maintenance services and their customers. The key customer areas include the energy, forest and telecommunications industries as well as the maintenance service businesses serving these industries. Co-operation with YIT is an important part of this strategy. With the operations maintenance services provided by YIT Service, the company assumes overall responsibility for plant maintenance, its development and the operability of the process. Maintenance is linked to productivity, and target achievement is monitored using indicators set jointly with the customer. In the future, it is believed that more and more production plants will outsource their maintenance to companies specialising in professional maintenance.
