TietoEnator appoints distributors in China
TietoEnator appoints distributors in China TietoEnator has signed co-operation contracts with two Chinese distributors, Wanfang Data and Istic, regarding the distribution of the search and archive system Trip. The contracts mean that Trip will be sold to both the private and the public sectors in China. Trip will be used for, among other things, the building up of the new web-based library and publishing system for literature, documents and research material within NAI, The National Accounting Institute. NAI is a newly established authority in China with the task of further training and reforming the Chinese accounting system. - It is pleasing to see that our Swedish developed solutions are also utilized on a large scale internationally. Content Management or web- based publishing and handling of very large volumes of unstructured information, is a large and growing working area for us, says Jouko Kangas, MD, TietoEnator Technology AB. Trip is owned and further developed by TietoEnator and is a development environment for the creation of free text searchable information archives. The software is primarily used in connection with web-based solutions for the storage, retrieval and publishing of large volumes of information. Trip handles traditional text, office documents and XML documents as well as images and video film. Among the Swedish customers who use Trip, the Government Offices, the Swedish Parliament, Telia, Saab Aircraft, the National Road Administration, the Post Office and the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation can be mentioned Examples of international customers are Bayer, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Schering and Handelsblatt. Trip's customer basis today includes more than two hundred installations in more than ten countries.
