TietoEnator develops pan European fund super market for Deutsche Bank In November, the Deutsche Bank's subsidiary, DWS, Die Wertpapier Spezialisten, introduces its new electronic market site for trade with funds on the Internet. The solution has been developed by TietoEnator- owned Entra and means that TietoEnator further strengthens its position within the area of Internet solutions for the bank and finance sector in Europe. The objective of DWS' fund super market has been to create a modern, easily accessible and clear pan European market site on the Internet for both DWS' own, and a large number of other managers' fund products. The solution is a new phenomenon within fund trading as it is directed towards independent financial advisors (such as insurance brokers) as well as their agents, and end customers. DWS is Germany's largest fund manager with a market share of 22 percent. - Our customers will now have access to Europe's most advanced, modern and largest fund super market. During the procurement phase, when we compared different IT companies, the choice went to TietoEnator since they displayed an in-depth knowledge of the finance sector and fund solutions in particular. They also had a clear idea of how the project should be executed. We are very pleased with the entire development work and look forward to continued co-operation with TietoEnator, says Jürgen Krippes, IT director and project manager at DWS. The fund super market attracts customers who are actively involved in their savings. The solution is personalized with advice in real time and advanced analysis possibilities for a great number of funds from different managers. - The development of the DWS fund super market means that we take a big step towards establishing TietoEnator as a pan European and global actor within the area of Internet solutions for the bank and finance sector. It is a great honour to work with Germany's and one of the world's largest fund managers, says Martin Sjöberg, MD of Entra.
