TietoEnator opens Internet e-service channel for financial and HRM professionals TietoEnator has opened an electronic business service channel on the Internet for resource management professionals. Called Channel RM, the new service will initially cater to the needs of financial, human resource management and payroll professionals. The service will be expanded in due course to cover customer relationship management (CRM) and information resource management. Channel RM is an integral component in the range of product and service concepts offered by TietoEnator's Resource Management business area. It provides products, services and professional expertise to customers more efficiently and in better real time. In addition to public marketing pages and editorial content, Channel RM also offers targeted services to registered users, some of them free of charge and some subject to a separate charge. Channel RM's Support Service is an alternative to conventional phone-in help desks. The service publishes bulletins, software upgrades and answers to questions concerning application usage. Next year the service will be further expanded to include transfer of support requests and distribution of software via the Internet. Channel RM's Information Service offers real-time information and daily news updates to resource management professionals. Channel RM also acts as a channel for using TietoEnator's software packages as an ASP service. Channel RM provides tools to supplement TietoEnator's products on the resource management area. HRM Analysis, for example, is a tool to assist evaluation and benchmarking in human resource management. The Survey Service application provides organizations with effective and fast tools for carrying out various internal and external opinion questionnaires and surveys to support management. The Business Information Service due to be launched shortly will be an online service providing trade register extracts and credit information. Another new service will be a discussion forum for resource management professionals. Channel RM, developed by the Resource Management business area of TietoEnator, is a pan-Nordic service.
