TietoEnator opens new London office Energy division of Anite Business System Ltd acquired TietoEnator is to open its third branch office in the UK. The new Oil & Gas office in London will give oil companies access to an expanded network of contacts within TietoEnator. The energy market is one of TietoEnator's main focus areas, and the company's Norwegian operations are spearheading its expansion drive in the international oil and gas market. The opening of the London office is a logical next step in the company's global ambitions and strategy. The company has already enjoyed success with activities in markets as far afield as Venezuela and Nigeria. Co-operation with key clients It is nonetheless crucial for the company to constantly develop and strengthen its domestic market - in the shape of British, Norwegian and Dutch players in the North Sea. Acquisition of energy team The company recently took advantage of its strong position to purchase Trondheim-based ART and has now acquired the energy division of Anite Business System Ltd, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange. The six experienced members of the Anite energy team will join additional consultants from Aberdeen to form the core staff of the new branch office, which will be locally managed and will report to TietoEnator's Oil & Gas HQ in Stavanger, Norway. The Anite team has many years' experience of the oil and gas industry, and its past achievements include developing the "Upstream" product, used by a number of Shell group companies.
