TietoEnator provided Sampo Industrial Insurance Company with an online system for loss reports TietoEnator has supplied a browser based handling system for loss reports for Sampo Industrial Insurance Company Ltd. It has been developed in co-operation with Sampo Industrial Insurance Company and Sampo's System Unit. Customers with a travel insurance can make an accident report immediately during the trip with an Internet or mobile connection. The new service offers a quicker and more reliable loss report process. The data sent with the online claim form is first directed into Sampo Industrial Insurance Company's feedback system. After verification the data is automatically further transferred into loss report handling systems. Previously the customer had to deliver the form to the insurance company by mail. In addition to the Internet, the loss report to the insurance company can also be sent via a Nokia Communicator phone. This mobile service can be utilised by Sampo Industrial Insurance Company's corporate customers whose employees have a secondment or business travel insurance. The technical solution of the system is based on new network technology. New features of J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) and TietoEnator's Web Component Suite application framework have been used in the implementation.
