TietoEnator signs agreement for information security TietoEnator has signed an agreement with the Premium Pension Authority, PPA, concerning the development of a management system for information security. - The agreement means that we shall analyse and develop a framework for the system, says Mats Rosberg, MD of TietoEnator Information and Security. From last summer there is a new Swedish standard (SS 62 77 99) for the way in which an authority or a company can build up its information security. The standard is international in conformity with ISO 9000. - Several companies are already in the process of certifying themselves and many more are expected to follow, not in the least due to the growing e-commerce market which places high demands on information security, says Mats Rosberg. PPA has chosen to build up its security architecture according to the new standard and it aims at being certified in the spring of 2001. - It is primarily a control instrument with which the management can take a complete grasp on the information security while it, at the same time, concerns everyone in the operations, says Mats Rosberg. The measures required according to the standard are, among others, risk and vulnerability analyses at different levels. The analyses then result in action plans to correct possible security deficiencies. Development of frameworks, policies, instructions, plans and staff training are essential parts of the security work. TietoEnator received the procurement in tough competition with other suppliers.
