TietoEnator signs outsourcing deal with Swedish Halland County Council
TIETOENATOR CORPORATION PRESS RELEASE 17 JULY 2002 1.00 PM 1(1) TietoEnator signs outsourcing deal with Swedish Halland County Council The Halland County Council in western Sweden has after extensive evaluations chosen TietoEnator as the future provider of processing and consulting services for the County Council. The agreement is valid for four years with an option for another four. TietoEnator estimates the order value to be close to SEK 50 million for the first four years. -TietoEnator is by this deal further strengthening its position as the leading IT-services and outsourcing provider both on the general market and in the western region of Sweden, comments Bo Gärdfors, responsible for marketing for TietoEnator healthcare activities. The first steps of the agreement include processing services concerning approximately 40 servers, plus a larger number of consulting services. According to the IT strategy of the County Council, all IT-processing and consulting activities will, over time, gradually be transferred to external vendors. This opens up potential for TietoEnator offering further processing services for the totally close to 60 different IT- systems now existing within the County Council.
