TietoEnator strengthens its international position within payment solution

TietoEnator strengthens its international position within payment solutions TietoEnator-owned Entra have together with Sema Group decided to end the co-operation with regard to the marketing and sales of Entra´s credit card management solution, Entra Card. The agreement means that TietoEnator, through Entra, by itself will sell and offer customer support for Entra Card on a global market. TietoEnator thereby assumes the existing customer responsibility for, among others, Standard Chartered Bank in Dubai and Zimbabwe, The Saudi British Bank, Saudi Arabia and Commercial International Bank, Egypt, who acquired Entra Card as a platform for their credit card handling. - We aim at increasing our sales of Entra Card internationally and getting closer to our customers. By assuming the customer responsibility we can offer quicker support to our existing customers and give them greater influence over the future development of Entra Card, says Erik Clausen, Business Area Manager, Entra Payment Solutions. Entra Card is a software product for the issuing, authorisation, acquiring and administration of credit cards. More than thirty global customers use Entra Card for their credit card management including banks, retail chains, telecom operators, hotel chains and financial companies. The Entra Card system gives the customers a cost efficient administration of the cardholders, their transactions and the merchants linked to the system. Entra Card supports VISA, Europay and MasterCard as well as the banks´ EMV-standard. The agreement with Sema Group means that Sema will continue to offer its own solution and gives TietoEnator the customer responsibility for banks located in the regions of, Middle East, Africa, Central America, Caribbean and Eastern Europe.
