TietoEnator supplies information systems to Metsä-Serla's board mills The board mills of Metsä-Serla's Packaging Group have chosen TietoEnator to supply their new mill-wide information systems. The order is for Tieto Paper Solution systems comprising production control and reporting, a quality information system, connections to the mill automation systems and Metsä-Serla's corporate level sales system. The new systems will be installed at the Simpele, Kyro, Äänekoski and Tako mills during 2001. The order is the largest millwide information system project ever undertaken in the Finnish forest industry. The aim of Metsä-Serla's Packaging Group is to further increase the specialization of its mills in demanding end-user areas and to build up an industrial structure based on consistent working practices.
