TIETOENATOR SYMBIAN'S TRAINING PARTNER TietoEnator is one of four companies in the world that has been appointed as Symbian's training partner. This means that TietoEnator can now offer Symbian's training programmes in the operating system EPOC for mobile telephony. For the last couple of years TietoEnator have been working as consultants within EPOC development and, among others, develop products for Ericsson based on this system. The choice of a Swedish representative was therefore quite natural. Our customers are product development organizations in Sweden, says Mats Ingemarsson, from TietoEnator. We can provide EPOC know-how in the form of system developers and system designers, and as Symbian training partner we can also offer high-class training. Symbian is owned by the large mobile telephone companies and works for the promotion of common standards for mobile telephony. Among others, Symbian develops the operating system EPOC which is used by companies such as Nokia and Ericsson. Symbian is now looking for co-operation partners in a number of countries in order to carry out the training with the system. At the moment there are 28,000 registered system developers who use our platform, says David Wood at Symbian Technical Consulting, and we believe that EPOC will dominate wireless communication. We have therefore produced a world- wide programme for our representatives in order that they can train customers and partners.
