TietoEnator takes over Saab Bofors Dynamics' IT operations

TietoEnator takes over Saab Bofors Dynamics' IT operations TietoEnator and Saab Bofors Dynamics have signed a contract in which TietoEnator takes over all IT operations within the business area Saab Bofors Dynamics. The contract is valid from the turn of the year and the total order sum is ca SEK 100M. This deal means that TietoEnator Support will increase its number of employees by about 15. As previously, TietoEnator manages IT operations for the units in Karlskoga and Eskilstuna. Saab Bofors Dynamics will now outsource all its IT operations up to the end of 2003. In addition to Karlskoga and Eskilstuna the contract will now concern the operations in Linköping, Motala, Gothenburg and Landskrona as well. The IT staff in these localities, some ten in all, will be invited to change employers from the turn of the year from Saab Bofors Dynamics to TietoEnator Support. In addition to this existing staff, TietoEnator will also employ new staff in these localities. - The same supplier of the company's IT operations in all localities facilitates access to effective operations, high competence and the right capacity. This sort of partnership also offers good opportunities for creating a uniform, effective IT platform and infrastructure for the entire business area, says Ingemar Holmén, IT Manager of Saab Bofors Dynamics. Where TietoEnator Support is concerned, this contract means that the total operations next year will encompass a staff of approximately 85.
