TietoEnator to deliver a customer information system for the Espoo City Social Welfare and Healthcare Services TietoEnator will deliver the Effica system as the new customer information system for the Espoo City Social Welfare and Healthcare Services. The purchase will be made as application service provisioning (ASP) in such a manner that TietoEnator will also be responsible for the system's operation services. The strategic goal of the Espoo City Social Welfare and Healthcare Services is to acquire an up-to-date IT system for the use of customer- based services that will cover all of the functions and offer the customers and cooperation partners secure connections, and also offer possibilities for online services. The new solution will serve the medical treatment, primary healthcare and laboratory functions of the Espoo Health Center, the city hospitals and elderly people's institutional services, dental care, home care, and children's daycare, as well as the Social Welfare Services' institutional services and care for out-patients. The delivery will proceed gradually until the end of 2004. The goal is to have the new system in use at dental care and children's daycare by the end of this year.
