TietoEntor acquires Sypro
TietoEntor acquires Sypro TietoEnator Corporation has acquired Sypro System Professionals Oy, a Finnish company specializing in wireless systems for large telecommunications companies. Embedded systems are a rapidly increasing area within information systems. With roughly 400 experts in embedded systems on its payroll, TietoEnator is one of the largest service providers in the Nordic countries. The Sypro acquisition will further strengthen TietoEnator's position as a leading supplier of high-value-added information technology services in Europe. "Sypro reinforces our position in product development services in Finland," says Carl-Harald Andersson, director of TietoEnator's embedded systems business. "We are growing rapidly and plans call for several new acquisitions in the Nordic countries and elsewhere. We are one of the leading supplies of embedded systems in Sweden and we are aiming to achieve the same position in Finland."
