PPG Tikkurila today announced the Color Now 2025 collection and Nocturne N348 as the 2025 Color of the Year for the Tikkurila brand. Dark blue Nocturne is designed to create calm spaces and help people find their inner peace.

In a world full of chaos and constant change, people need serenity, peace of mind and a sense of confidence and calmness. And this is where the Color Now 2025 palette - and especially the color of the year, Nocturne - comes in.

“With its deep and dark blue, resembling the night sky, it offers more than just a beautiful hue for walls. It provides a vast, almost eternal feeling that you get when you gaze towards the stars,” says Irina Hanhisalo, Colour Category Manager.

Nocturne can transform homes, offices, or any environment into a haven of calm. It offers a perfect backdrop for moments of relaxation and reflection.

“More than a trend, calmness is what we need. Nocturne is a kind of color that holds a transformative power for a space. Nocturne blue can evoke a sense of infinite depth, like the night sky stretching into the cosmos,” Hanhisalo says.

The velvety blue hue creates an ethereal atmosphere and if used in full force on ceilings and walls, it makes the space feel vast and boundless. As an accent color, this blue will add depth and sophistication to a space. The richness of the color coveys a sense of luxury and refinement.

The Color Now 2025 collection is a reference to the galactic sky - full of airy blues by day and inky darks by night, peppered by twinkly bright white with hints of a warm glow.

Blue colors represent confidence and trust, purples are known to represent majestic energy. Reds are passion, drive, and energy. Black represents mystery, the great enigmatic personalities, the spiritual, and even leadership.

Color Now is PPG Tikkurila’s own platform for delivering the latest colors and topics to its customers. Tikkurila Color Now and the Color of the Year have been launched since 2016.
