Tilgin has been selected by Tele2 UTA to deliver equipment that will allow them to supply residential and business subscribers in Austria with a combined broadband and VoIP service. The Tilgin Vood Residential Gateway offers service providers a powerful solution for Voice over IP and high-speed Internet access in the home and office.

Tele2 UTA is today deploying Vood 422 IP Residential Gateways in volume. They are provided as an integrated component of the Tele2 Complete offering that offers residential and business subscribers with a high-quality, low-cost solution for broadband access and Voice over IP. The order follows on a series of successful implementations of the Tilgin products in the Switzerland, Holland and the Nordic countries.

“We are successfully rolling out Tilgin Vood IP Residential Gateways as part of our managed broadband service - Tele2 Complete,” says Norbert Wieser, Managing Director Tele2 UTA in Vienna. “We provide a very aggressive and high-quality service bundle for voice and high-speed Internet access, and appreciate the way that Tilgin’s solution helps us to keep our operational costs down.”

Tilgin Vood 422 IP Residential Gateways are used to connect residential and business subscribers to the service provider’s broadband infrastructure, providing both VoIP and high-speed broadband connectivity. Tilgin’s Vood IP Residential Gateways support ADSL2+ for speeds up to 28 Mbit/s, as well as an integrated firewall router for secure communications over the Internet. Vood products are centrally managed with the Vood Centre Manager and provide secure auto-provisioning, remote service management and full control of all deployed Vood products.

“We are very pleased to be chosen as Tele2’s supplier of IP residential gateways in so many European markets. Tele2 UTA’s choice to deploy our Vood IP Residential Gateways confirms the strength of our total offering,” says Jan Werne, CEO at Tilgin.
