Tilgin receives initial order from new partner Letlhaka to deliver residential gateways to South African service providers.

STOCKHOLM SWEDEN, April 25, 2007 – Leading broadband CPE supplier Tilgin today announced a new collaboration with an initial order from Letlhaka Technologies, one of South Africa’s leading technology distributors of FTTX solutions. Letlhaka will offer Tilgin residential gateway solutions, including remote management, to operators and system integrators in South Africa. Tilgin IPTV set-top boxes will also be offered as part of Letlhaka’s product portfolio.

Letlhaka Technologies is a value added technology distributor of FTTX solutions (Fiber-To-The-Home/Curb/Business), IPTV and Video-on-Demand (VOD) solutions, general Fiber-Optic technology and complementary products. Letlhaka offers a portfolio of products and professional services for triple play services (video, telecommunication, data and security) to gated communities (homes and businesses) over optic fiber.

Initially, Letlhaka Technologies has placed a first order to offer their South African customers’ quick time-to-market (TTM) with Tilgin’s Vood 342 home gateways and remote management solution. Letlhaka today has end-to-end solutions based on traditional technology on nine sites such as commercial business parks, mining sites and residential communities in full deployment. With homes on the gated communities sites being built at a rate of a dozen per month, the residential communities will vary in size from 600 up to 5,000 homes.
