Tilgin’s Chief Technology Officer, Peter Galyas, appointed to the Board of Directors of the Home Gateway Initiative

Stockholm, Sweden, 28 May 2008: Tilgin, setting new standards of excellence for multi-play solutions and next-generation broadband services, today announces that its CTO, Peter Galyas, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Home Gateway Initiative (HGI).

The Home Gateway Initiative drives the standardization of home gateways to facilitate the growth of next-generation broadband services. Its members include 60 leading operators and industry vendors from around the globe.

“The HGI is delighted to welcome Tilgin’s CTO, Peter Galyas to its board of directors”, said Mr. Bob Bissell, Principle Consultant, Customer Environment at British Telecom and Chairman of HGI’s Board of Directors. “Tilgin’s addition to the HGI board further strengthens an already broad base of leadership organizations. Tilgin is strongly committed to service-enabling the broadband home and their increased participation will serve the members of HGI well," continued Mr. Bissell.

HGI was launched by leading European Telcos in December 2004 and co-operates with standardization forums like ETSI and DSL Forum to assist operators develop and market a broader portfolio of services. Board Members of HGI include representatives from operators; Telefonica, British Telecom, Deutsche Telecom, France Telecom and other equipment vendors.

As a member of HGI since 2005, Tilgin has been heavily involved in driving HGI´s specifications for IMS and multi-access usage of home gateways including fiber access, and in their efforts to synchronize Home Gateway functionality with IPTV.

Mr. Galyas brings with him more than eighteen years of experience from the telecommunication and IP communications industries. Mr. Galyas will serve in his new role until May 2011.
