Tilgin successfully completes field trials of its MSA983 in Poland
Stockholm, October 28, 2016: Tilgin, a leading provider of Home Gateway solutions for multiplay and next-generation broadband access, has successfully conducted several interoperability field trials of its MSA983, a GPON combined fiber termination unit and ONT.
Several ISPs from Central and Eastern Poland took part in the trial activities. Operators, which led the verification program were TPnets.com Sp. z o.o from city of Łódź, Bialnet Sp. z o.o. from city of Białystok and Telbial Sp. z o.o. from city of Biała Podlaska. The involved ISPs provide triple-play services to their customers including internet access, voice telephony and IPTV.
All services were thoroughly tested during the trial and the operators were really satisfied with the outcome of the tests.
Mr. Tomasz Bathelt, COO at TPnets.com Sp. z o.o is pleased with the conducted tests and explains: “The MSA983 has been easy to configure and operate by our integration team. Tilgin’s support organization proved to be responsive and competent, which further shortened the time required to conduct all planned test activities.” He further states “I was really impressed by the performance of the unit and during our verification process the MSA983 was capable of carrying traffic with high downlink speeds.”
The test results at Bialnet Sp. z o.o. impressed the CEO, Mr. Mirosław Wichowski and explains: “Our tests with the MSA983 media converter were very positive. We are particularly impressed by the simplicity of the configuration and the stability of the solution.”
He continues “The MSA983 in combination with Tilgin’s powerful HG2381 residential gateway is definitely an interesting proposition for ISPs in the region.”
Mr Waldemar Lasiecki, CEO at Telbial Sp. z o.o. was also satisfied with the trial and says: “We appreciate Tilgin’s on-site support in configuring the MSA983 GPON combined fiber termination unit and ONT equipment. Our field tests also showed great device performance and stability carrying data traffic.”
Andrzej Mazur, Sales Director for Central Europe at Tilgin AB sees the results of the interoperability verification program in Poland as a success and explains: “The outcomes of the program clearly demonstrated that our MSA983 interworks well with OLT equipment present on the Polish market.” He concludes “I am convinced that this is also a strong indication that the GPON market is opening up for independent ONT providers such as Tilgin, which is a great benefit for the operators.”
