Stockholm, Sweden, 6 August 2008: Tilgin, a leading provider of customer premises equipment solutions for multi-play and next-generation broadband services, has won a breakthrough order of its IPTV-technology from an incumbent South European telecom operator. The operator will use Tilgin’s HD IPTV technology and management solutions for its major commercial roll-out of IPTV in Southern Europe.

Following the previously announced cooperation on a soft launch, the customer is now entering a phase of extensive commercial roll-out. The initial volume order value is approximately 1.7 MUSD. As the roll-out progresses, Tilgin expects further and larger orders from the customer.
“It is a breakthrough for Tilgin to provide IPTV-technology to a major South European roll-out of next generation broadband services to the mass-market”, says Ola Berglund, Tilgin’s CEO. “The order proves that our IPTV technology enables operators to take full advantage of rich media and communication services. It also shows the success of our sales model to partner with leading system integrators.”
As key components of the telecom’s commercial roll-out of its IPTV service, Tilgin will deliver High Definition Mood 400 IP set-top boxes and management software. The order includes entry level units, as well as those supporting Personal Video Recording (PVR) for a more personalized and on-demand viewing experience. Both models offer the operator upgrade capabilities to more advanced service functionality for multi-device media sharing and communications.
This order acknowledges a substantial footprint for Tilgin in the Southern European market, as well as within the multinational telecom group headed by this customer. For this customer, Tilgin’s IPTV technology is integrated in a leading global systems integrator's end-to-end solution. By partnering with leading global system integrators, Tilgin can leverage on its technology and reach operators world-wide.
