Tim Hortons U.K. & Ireland Reopening City Centre locations
Tim Hortons®, the iconic Canadian coffee chain, has announced that it will reopen four more restaurants following the successful trial of seven Drive Thru restaurants earlier this month.
The restaurants, all in city centre locations, will be open for takeaway and delivery only in partnership with Deliveroo and Just Eat. Customers will be allowed to enter the restaurant, place an order, and collect their food and beverages. There will be no dine-in option available to customers.
East Gates, Leicester will be the first to open on Saturday 30 May, followed by New Street, Birmingham, Fountain Street in Belfast and Oxford Road, Manchester which will all open on Monday 1 June.
These restaurants will be serving a full menu and will initially be open from 7am-8pm Monday to Saturday and from 9am-6pm on Sunday.
Health and wellbeing measures have been put in place, such as wellbeing checks for every employee before every shift including temperature checks, non-medical PPE for team members, Perspex screens at counters, one way systems in and out of every restaurant, signage to encourage customer social distancing and contactless payment only with no maximum spend.
Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer at Tim Hortons U.K. & Ireland said, “Over the past two weeks, in line with government guidelines, we have successfully re-opened seven Drive Thru lane only restaurants. We introduced a number of measures to ensure our teams and customers felt safe and the feedback we have received has been overwhelmingly positive.
The learning we have taken during this period has given us the confidence to re-open more restaurants and introduce more ways to serve our customers. We are looking forward to welcoming back customers to our restaurants in Birmingham, Leicester, Manchester and Belfast.”
