Evutec launches Kevlar® based Karbon S, SP and Wood series iPhone cases in the UK
The Evutec ultra-light, ultra-tough cases use DuPont™ Kevlar® to protect the iPhone 5 and 5s without detracting from the design, or blocking mobile signals
Walnut, Calif., June 25th, 2014 – Evutec, a manufacturer of high quality mobile phone cases today announces the availability of its products in the UK. The S and SP range features state-of-the-art high-performing DuPont™ Kevlar®, which offers unrivalled strength to weight properties and maximum protection for the iPhone. The Wood series fuses Kevlar layers between beautiful and tactile wood veneers, for a strong and distinctive case that protects the iPhone yet barely adds to its size or weight.
The Karbon S (Sleek) case is constructed using layers of woven Kevlar, which is five times stronger than steel of the same weight. This means the case offers great protection yet is a mere 0.7mm thick. The super-strong aramid fibres of Kevlar will not block GPS, Wi-Fi or mobile phone signals where as carbon fibres or other materials can contain metal. The ultra-thin case clips on to the iPhone 5 or 5s. The design shows the weave of the Kevlar threads, and features evutouch™, a five-layer process that creates a scratch-resistant, soft-touch finish that is easy to grip.
The Karbon SP (Sleek Protective) case adds a shockproof inner lining made of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane). The inner lining, when combined with the Kevlar outer shell, is still only 2mm thick. It also retains the same ability to let phone signal pass through it unhindered. No other case can match its protective qualities at this minimal size and weight.
The Wood S (sleek) series combines the attractive qualities of real wood veneers with the lightweight strength of Kevlar in a multi-layered laminate. There are two styles, a light coloured Bamboo model, and a rich dark-grained version made of Ebony, a premium exotic wood, farmed in an ecologically responsible way.
The multiple layers are then heat-formed and shaped to fit the iPhone precisely before the final process of laser cutting and coated with a durable finish. The case is 0.9mm thick, and like the other models, will not block phone signals at all.
