The TabletTail: Monkey Kit adds a flexible tail to tablets and e-readers to allow them to stand, sit or swing, allowing hands-free use in almost any environment

London, UK – Octa™ (http://www.octa.com), creator of innovative tablet accessories, today announced the launch of the TabletTail: Monkey Kit in the UK. Bringing the agility of chimps to a mounting system, the MonkeyTail can be wrapped around headrests, handles, even legs for hands-free use. It can even coil around itself to be freestanding, eliminating tired hands, sore wrists and crooked necks. It can hold iPads, tablets and e-readers using its powerful Vacuum Dock suction mount.

The TabletTail positioning system comes in two parts, the MonkeyTail, and the Vaccum Dock, which uses a pump to create a powerful grip on your tablet. Octa began with the technology used by construction workers to lift heavy plate glass, then developed their own patent-pending twist.

The Vacuum Dock attaches the MonkeyTail to the tablet, holding it firmly. Then the tail can be coiled, tucked or wrapped to hold the tablet in practically any position imaginable. It works wrapped around your leg while sitting, around an exercise machine, or freestanding coiled around itself, on a desk or in the kitchen.

Since the launch of the iPad, tablets have been a popular but sometimes awkward way to watch movies, access the Internet, and work. Hands get tired, and most stands will fall over on soft or irregular surfaces. The TabletTail: Monkey Kit offers a flexible way to position a tablet, so it can be viewed in comfort almost anywhere, from the bed to the tree house.

Using innovative chambers and seals, the Vacuum Dock attaches to tablets with five easy pumps. It features a vacuum seal that can stay connected to your tablet for hours, but is easily removed without marking the device. The Vacuum Dock is compatible with all generations of the iPad, as well as many other tablets and e-readers.

The MonkeyTail is durable and flexible, so easy to bend and adjust. The flexible metal spine is wrapped in grippy silicon that’s smooth to touch. The connection to the tablet swivels 360˚, so the screen can always be leveled.

The TabletTail: Monkey Kit is the brainchild of Prometheus Trotsky and Nikki Braziel, the Denver based designers who created Octa based on their combined love of technology and natural form. The rest of the Octa team is comprised of a small group of artists, philosophers, and inventors, constantly striving to combine beauty and functionality.
