Prague, December 2011 The Czech capital found itself among very noble company in the ranking of the 10 most attractive places for celebrating the New Year by the prestigious tourist server Gajet. Prague placed fourth after Las Vegas, Savannah and the Niagara Falls, thus giving it the highest rank in all of Europe.

Those who would be enticed to celebrate New Year’s Eve in the Czech capital will be able to choose entertainment exactly to their taste – from classical music concerts to traditional Christmas markets, from boat cruises on the River Vltava to dance clubs and special programmes at bars and restaurants. An enormous party for several thousand modern music lovers will be held at the Industrial Palace on the Prague Exhibition Grounds.

The Czechs have a saying that as it is on New Year’s Day, so it shall be the rest of the year. Thus it is our hope that on 1 January 2012 foreign tourists in Prague will visit some of the many typical Czech restaurants, taste some traditional Czech specialties, and have so many pleasant experiences that they will be eager to visit again.
