Pathfinder Foundation Society Presents Its 1st Annual High School Basketball Showcase
BROOKLYN, NY - (November 20, 2012) - On Saturday, November 24, 2012, the non-profit organization Pathfinder Society, headed by Spokesperson and Board Member Steve Lobel, will present its premier charity event “Bedford Academy’s 1st Annual High School Basketball Showcase,” an invite only showcase for some of the most talented basketball teams in New York City. This event will take place in the Brooklyn Stuy Dome in Brooklyn, New York. Partners for the event include Sean John, Interscope Records, Powerade, and Jordan Brand.
The Pathfinder Society’s goal is to help students grow their self esteem by giving them outlets to strive for greatness in everything they do in life, along with enriching lives through education and sports. Founder, Richard Daley tells us, “the organization’s mission is to enable under privileged youths to succeed despite educational and financial obstacles.” To participate in the event, each youth must attend an educational seminar providing them with information on business, professionalism, leadership and team building as well as self-respect and respect for others. Daley continues, “The Pathfinder Society is finding a path for every child, through mentoring, internships and scholarships. We are proud to give these kids an opportunity.”
As a new organization, founded by business owners, music moguls, teachers, students and executives, each founder is taking pride in giving back to kids to demonstrate the various possible paths toward a prosperous life. As Pathfinder continues to grow, its founders hope to acquire more support through a variety of individuals and organizations that will continue to generate tremendous success to support all kids of America.
The event is sure to be “a filled day of family, fun and activities,” said Lobel. “We just can’t wait to see some good competition, teamwork and most of all happy kids doing what they love. It’s something I can do for these kids and what better way to celebrate my birthday!?”
Steve Lobel is most well known for his work with artists such as Run DMC, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Common, Fat Joe, Nipsey Hussle, Sean Kingston, Mann, Iyaz, and many more talented musicians and performers. Lobel also owns the entertainment company A2Z Entertainment, but his current focus is on making a difference with his “We Working Motivational School Tour” and Pathfinders charity events, all dedicated to giving back and helping motivated and talented kids excel to the next level with their passions and dreams.
Admission to the event is $5 with the first game beginning at 12:00 pm at the Brooklyn Stuy Dome on 308 Koskiusko Street in Brooklyn, New York.
