A new Tokmanni store opens its doors in the Entresse shopping centre in Espoo – Tokmanni’s product range becomes more comprehensive in the Espoon keskus district

Tokmanni, a variety discount retail chain, is opening a store in the Entresse shopping centre in the Espoon keskus district in Espoo on Thursday 28 November at 8:00 am. The new store will replace Tokmanni store that was closed in the neighbouring Espoontori shopping centre at the end of July this year after serving customers for a long time. The new Tokmanni store is significantly more spacious and welcoming and offers a more versatile product range than its predecessor. In true Tokmanni style, the store opening will feature plenty of special offers and free buckets filled with product gifts.

The new Tokmanni store, located on the second floor of the Entresse shopping centre, offers a comprehensive selection of products focusing on, for example, interior decoration, clothing, detergents and cleaning products, home improvement, various seasons and beauty, health and wellbeing. In seasonal products, for example, the product range in the new store is more versatile than in the Tokmanni store that served its customers for a long time in the neighbouring Espoontori shopping centre.

In addition, the new store will have a shop-in-shop department for products from Tokmanni's Miny lifestyle brand. The Miny assortments include a diverse range of beauty, wellbeing and interior decoration products and other surprising and interesting things to buy. Similar shop-in-shop departments can already be found in more than 40 Tokmanni stores across Finland.

The new Entresse store, designed in line with Tokmanni’s newest store concept emphasising convenient and pleasant shopping, has around 2,000 square metres of space, which is around 750 square metres more than its predecessor had.

Customer service at the Entresse store is provided by a team of around 15 retail professionals led by Store Manager Sanna Viita. The store is open on weekdays from 8 am to 9 pm, on Saturdays from 8 am to 8 pm and on Sundays from 10 am to 7 pm. The address of the Tokmanni store and at the same time the Entresse shopping centre is Siltakatu 11, 02770 Espoo.

Convenient services and smart energy choices

In addition to offering a comprehensive and affordable product assortment and a pleasant shopping experience, Tokmanni focuses on services that make customers’ daily lives easier and on smart energy choices.

At Tokmanni stores, customers can make purchases through the Tokmanni Tukku B2B sales function and the Tokmanni Klubi customer loyalty program. Customers can also pick up orders made through the Tokmanni online store and conveniently withdraw cash when paying at the checkout.

The variety discount retailer purchases fossil-free electricity for its Tokmanni stores and uses energy-efficient LED lightning.

Opening offers and surprise buckets with product gifts in true Tokmanni style

Tokmanni always celebrates the openings of its new stores with generous opening offers. In the Tokmanni store in the Entresse shopping centre, the opening offers will be valid from Thursday 28 November to Sunday 1 December 2024. In addition, 500 of the Tokmanni’s famous surprise buckets filled with product gifts will be handed out for free to the first customers in the Entresse store on the day of the opening on Thursday 28 November. Two of the surprise buckets will also contain a EUR 50 gift card.

At the store opening ceremonies on Thursday morning 28 November, Tokmanni will be represented by Mika Rautiainen, President and CEO at Tokmanni Group, and Jyrki Jääskeläinen, Regional Manager, in addition to the store personnel.

More store openings to come this year

In Finland, Tokmanni Group has 203 Tokmanni stores (including the new store in the Entresse shopping centre in Espoo), three Miny stores, 33 Click Shoes stores, two Shoe House stores, and online stores tokmanni.fi and clickshoes.fi.

On the opening day of the new Tokmanni store in the Entresse shopping centre on 28 November, Tokmanni will also celebrate its fully refurbished store in Kuusankoski. The refurbishments were based not only on Tokmanni’s goal of improving the shopping experience, but also on the extensive renovation of the commercial building by the property owner.

In addition to the store in the Entresse shopping centre in Espoo, new Tokmanni stores will be celebrated in Nikkilä in Sipoo and Sodankylä this year. In Sodankylä, the new store will replace the current store, which will be closed at the end of November this year.

Tokmanni Group also owns the Swedish discount retailer Dollarstore. Dollarstore currently has more than 130 Dollarstore stores in Sweden and five Big Dollar stores in Denmark. The latest new Dollarstore store opened its doors in Karlstad in September this year. The latest new Big Dollar store was opened in Frederikshavn in May this year. New Dollarstore stores will be celebrated next in the Strömpilen shopping area in Umeå and in Burlöv municipality on Friday 29 November. In addition, new Big Dollar stores will be celebrated in Randers and Grena (or Grenå) on the same day, i.e. on Friday 29 November.
