Tokmanni aims to act responsibly in all its activities
Finnwatch has released a report describing the working conditions in two factories in Thailand. Tokmanni has made two one-off purchases from two European importers who have purchased products from these factories. The workers working at the factories in question do not fall under the ILO or BSCI child labor age definition and Tokmanni does not, under any circumstances, tolerate forced or child labor in its supply chains.
Tokmanni acquired the ATA mango cans and baby care products from a European importer as a one-off purchase. The European importers have purchased the products from the factories in question. The purchases were of one-off nature and Tokmanni does not intend to continue purchases from this factory. Our goal is to purchase all our products from responsible suppliers.
Corporate Responsibility and its continuous development is a strategic focus area for Tokmanni and we want to act responsibly in all our actions. In 2013 we started a substantial change in our sourcing organization and in that process we have also put specific focus on CR issues. Tokmanni recognizes that the changes take time, and puts continuous effort on improving this work.
Tokmanni is a member of BSCI and also demands the same from all new suppliers. Tokmanni is also going through old suppliers, starting from those that have most CR-risks related to them. In addition to the BSCI audits, we make own supplier audits as well.
