Tokmanni brings low prices to the Lippulaiva urban centre in the Greater Espoonlahti area in Espoo – The newest store will be Tokmanni’s 20th store in the Helsinki metropolitan area

Tokmanni, Finland’s largest variety discount retailer, will open its newest store at the new Lippulaiva urban centre in the Greater Espoonlahti area on Thursday 31 March 2022 at 10 am. Located near the Western Highway (Länsiväylä), the new store will be the fifth Tokmanni store in Espoo, the 20th in the Helsinki metropolitan area and the 197th in Finland.
Located on the second floor of the Lippulaiva urban centre, the store will offer a selection designed especially for urban residents, including products related to beauty, health, wellbeing, interior decoration, cleaning, clothing, leisure, home electronics and home renovation, as well as seasonal products and non-perishable foods.
Similar to other new Tokmanni stores, the Lippulaiva store is based on Tokmanni’s newest store concept, which supports quick and easy shopping. The store has a total area of around 1,300 square metres.
“Our new store is very pleasant and modern, and will employ around ten retail professionals. Our customers will find the products they need, as well as other seasonal and necessary products, very easily, because the aisles are spacious, the signage is comprehensive and the product areas are distinctive,” says Aleksi Hakanen, Store Manager of the new Tokmanni store.
In addition to offering a pleasant shopping experience and a comprehensive product selection, Tokmanni has invested in services that make customers’ daily life easier.
“The store also has a convenient recycling point for small waste electrical and electronic equipment, where customers can bring small electrical appliances, such as coffee machines, drills and headphones, which are broken. We also serve as a collection point for orders made through the Tokmanni online store. In addition, customers can withdraw cash when they are paying for their purchases at the cash register,” says Hakanen.
Excellent location, key tenant
Tokmanni is one of the anchor tenants at the Lippulaiva urban centre, which houses a total of around 100 shops, coffee shops, restaurants and services.

The Tokmanni store at Lippulaiva will be open on weekdays and Saturdays from 8 am to 9 pm and on Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm. The store’s address is Espoonlahdenkatu 4, 02320 Espoo.
Special offers and surprise buckets filled with product gifts
The opening of the new store will be celebrated in true Tokmanni style. During the week of its opening, the store will have plenty of special offers, and Tokmanni’s famous surprise buckets filled will product gifts will be handed out.
To avoid queues, Tokmanni will distribute tokens for its surprise buckets to the first 500 customers on the opening day. By presenting their token, the customers can collect their surprise bucket without having to queue. In addition, a Tokmanni gift card (EUR 50) has been hidden in two of the buckets.
Tokmanni aims to expand its store network to more than 220 stores in Finland.
