The refurbished Tokmanni store features the discount retail chain’s newest store concept, which emphasises quick and easy shopping. To enhance the customer experience, the shelf layout and display of products and product categories have been renewed, and signage has been improved.

The store, which has around 6,100 square metres of space, has long been the only Tokmanni store to sell, for example, ice hockey equipment for the demanding enthusiast, intended not only for consumer customers but also for sports clubs.
The store’s new products and product categories will be particularly interesting for customers. The store’s assortment has been further expanded in conjunction with the other renewals, particularly in the home and home improvement section, with products such as furniture, professional workwear and ESSVE screws, as well as Maku Kitchen Life and Heirol cooking and tableware products. Tokmanni sells these same products mainly in its largest stores, for example in Tornio and Tiiriö in Hämeenlinna.
“Our Tokmanni store on Kehräämöntie in Kajaani is already known for its wide range of products that is different from that of most of our other stores. In addition to the refurbishment that has improved the comfort of the store, we have further expanded our product assortment. This should appeal to our customers, many of whom have been shopping at our current Tokmanni and at the previous Maxi-Kodintukku store for decades,” says Timo Heimo, Vice President, Sales and Supply Chain at Tokmanni.
Customer service at the Kehräämöntie store is provided by a team of around 15 retail professionals under the supervision of Store Manager Riikka Hinkkanen.
