Tokmanni Group’s Dollarstore continues its expansion in Sweden with another new store opening

Dollarstore, which has been part of Tokmanni Group since August 2023, currently has 131 Dollarstore stores in Sweden and four Bigdollar stores in Denmark. The latest store was opened in Uddevalla in Sweden on 22 March 2024.
The Swedish discount retailer Dollarstore, which Finnish variety discount retailer Tokmanni Group acquired in August 2023, will open a new store on Thursday 25 April 2024 in Linköping, Sweden.
This will be Dollarstore’s second store opening in Linköping. The new store will be located at the retail area Tornby (Östra Svedengatan 27), with a retail space of approximately 3,700 square metres.
With a wide range of products within beauty, hygiene, cleaning supplies, snacks, home décor, seasonal items and a lot more, there is something for everyone - no matter who you are.
Dollarstore always aims to offer their customers something extra and a joyful shopping experience where you never know what to expect. Shopping at Dollarstore is meant to be an exciting treasure hunt, with great products and great prices.

Plenty of opening offers
The Dollarstore in Linköping will employ a store manager and around 10 retail sector professionals. The store will be open from 10 am to 8 pm on weekdays, and from 10 am to 6 pm on weekends.
The opening ceremony will be held on the 25th of April, starting from 10 am. There will be a lot of special offerings, as well as coffee, snacks, a DJ, contests and an extra nice surprise for the first 200 customers.

Tokmanni Group’s network of stores continues to grow and renew
Tokmanni Group continues to grow and renew its store network also outside Sweden, where the latest Dollarstore opened its doors for the first time in Uddevalla at the end of March.
For example, Bigdollar, which is operated by Dollarstore, will open a new store in Frederikshavn in Denmark at the end of May this year.
In Finland, Tokmanni will refurbish several of its stores this year. In addition, the Finnish variety discount retailer has entered into agreements on opening new Tokmanni stores in Eurajoki and Nikkilä in Sipoo. In addition, Tokmanni has acquired a piece of land from the municipality of Sodankylä to build a new Tokmanni store in the municipality.
In Eurajoki, the construction of the Tokmanni store has started, and the opening is planned for the autumn of 2024. In Nikkilä in Sipoo, the construction of the Tokmanni store is about to start, and the opening is expected to be held by the end of 2024. In Sodankylä, the construction work is estimated to start this month, and the store opening is planned for either November this year or March next year. The openings of the latest new Tokmanni stores were celebrated in Pälkäne and in Söderkulla in Sipoo in early April 2024. In the Columbus shopping centre in Vuosaari in Helsinki, Tokmanni closed its store around mid-April 2024 due to the expiry of its lease.
The number of stores in Finland will also increase in at least the Click Shoes store chain, as new stores will be celebrated in the Koskikeskus shopping centre in the heart of Tampere, the Veturi shopping centre in Kouvola and the Karisma shopping centre in Lahti. In Tampere and Lahti, the opening ceremonies will take place on 24 April 2024. In Kouvola, the new Click Shoes store will open its door for the first time on 29 April 2024.
