Tokmanni to open a new store in the Trio shopping centre in Lahti on 27 May 2021 – Product assortments will grow considerably

Tokmanni will open a new store in the Trio shopping centre in the heart of Lahti on Thursday 27 May 2021 at 8 am. No special event will be held because of the prevailing circumstances. The new store will replace the previous store, which was opened in the Trio shopping centre in 2010. The new store is more than 50% larger, with more comprehensive product assortments.
Located near the main entrance of the shopping centre, the new store will offer significantly more comprehensive and attractive assortments of products related to beauty, health, well-being, interior decoration, cleaning, leisure and home electronics in particular, as well as seasonal products, non-perishable foods and beverages. Its selection will also now include clothes and accessories, as well as home renovation products, for example. In response to customers’ daily needs, the store will also sell baby foods and various refrigerated products, such as milk, buttermilk, butter and cream.
With around 1,900 square metres of retail selling space, the new store has been designed in accordance with Tokmanni’s latest store concept, which emphasises effortless and pleasant shopping. The stores in this concept feature wide aisles, informative signage and well-defined departments for different products.
The energy efficiency of the modern store is ensured by means of LED lighting and a recycling point for small waste electrical and electronic equipment, for example. In keeping with other Tokmanni stores, the new store in the Trio shopping centre will also serve as a collection point for purchases made in the Tokmanni online store.
“In the Trio shopping centre in Lahti, Tokmanni will have a more spacious and pleasant store than before, with a better location in terms of customer streams. The product assortments will also be considerably more extensive,” says Harri Koponen, Store Network and Concept Director at Tokmanni.
“Trio is ideal for Tokmanni because of its excellent location, wide range of services and good transport connections.”
The store will employ around 15 retail sector professionals. Headed by Store Manager Birgitta Suni, it will be open on weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm, on Saturdays from 8 am to 6 pm and on Sundays from 12 pm to 4 pm. The address is Aleksanterinkatu 18, 15140 Lahti.
A relocation sale is currently taking place at the previous store, which will close its doors permanently on Saturday 22 May 2021.
Tokmanni takes care of safety in many ways
Special attention is paid to ensuring a safe shopping experience. The safety of customers and employees is ensured with protective screens installed at checkouts and by offering customers hand sanitiser during their visit and reminding them to keep a safe distance with posters and announcements. In addition, it is recommended that face masks are worn in the store. To ensure a safe customer experience, Tokmanni recommends that customers avoid crowds, and may also limit the number of people admitted to the store at one time. To celebrate the completion of the renovation work, the new Tokmanni store in Trio in Lahti will have special offers from Thursday 27 May to Sunday 30 May 2021. Because of the coronavirus situation, no opening event will be held at the store, and no surprise gift buckets will be handed out to customers.
