CREATE LONGER LASTING WINDOWS WITH COMPOSITE BEADING FROM TOOLFIX
One of the most important elements of a window frame is one of its smallest – the beading. Beading is used externally and internally on windows to keep the glazing in place. However, beading on timber windows can form a water trap and is often the first component of a window system to rot and fail.
Water ingress can damage both the beading and the main frame of the window itself. At the very least, timber beads will need regular maintenance or replacement – creating both cost and inconvenience.
The simplest and most cost effective solution is to replace the element that is most likely to fail – the beading – with a product that is longer-lasting and more resistant to weathering than ordinary timber.

Therefore, only off-cuts will be left over; everything else will be fitted to the window or door. The standard stock profile length is three metres but Q-Wood can also be supplied in a length that best suits the users’ production facilities, by special order subject to quantities, thus helping to reduce waste further.
