TOOLFIX SUPPORTS HOMELESS WITH RAPID RELIEF TEAM FOOD BOX APPEAL

Leading East Anglia-based joinery and construction supplies specialist Toolfix (www.toolfixservices.com) is putting its money where its mouth is this festive season by supporting the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) Help the Homeless food box appeal.

Anthony Burt of Toolfix said: “While everyone is busy looking forward to the rapidly approaching festive season, it is easy to forget those who are less fortunate and are most in need of support.

“Here at Toolfix we work hard to support our local community, giving back wherever possible, which is why we are proud to support RRT (Rapid Relief Team) Help the Homeless Box Appeal.”

The Help the Homeless Box Appeal aimed to donate 3,000 boxes of essential food items to local charities which were handed out directly to homeless people in cities across the UK. The campaign more than met its target. In total 5,500 boxes were donated to RRT, 986 of which came from the Peterborough/Stamford regional area.

In Peterborough, Toolfix staff joined in the campaign with cash and food donations, helping to make up the food parcels and delivering them to homeless centres around the region on behalf of RRT.

The Rapid Relief Team is a volunteer not-for-profit organisation set up to support local communities in times of need. It does this by serving food and drinks to emergency services personnel, helping out at homeless missions and support work for other charities.

The core service of RRT is to provide quality catering and refreshments efficiently. This benevolent relief is offered to persons in need by teams of volunteers dedicated to providing compassionate, friendly and effective help.
